Deputydocs

Open source and Pro

The free, open-source hackathon version, and Deputy Pro from the Chrome Web Store.

Deputy comes two ways. The hackathon version is free and on GitHub, to build on. Pro is the full Deputy, ready to install, with Deputy's hosted models.

The open-source version is source-available under the PolyForm Shield License 1.0.0, and has its own setup in its README on GitHub. Everything else in these docs is about Pro.

What Pro includes

  • The Chrome Web Store extension and deputy-mcp, which every MCP client can run. See Install.
  • All 27 tools. See Tools.
  • Hosted models, so you need no model key of your own: browser_look, where a vision model answers questions about a page in text, and a hosted planner for browser_ask and delegate_goal.
  • 5,000 hosted actions a month, up to 500 a day. It's a hard cap. browser_look tells your agent how many are left this month.

Screenshots reach Deputy's models only after you switch that on, and are never stored. See Privacy.

Buying, renewing, cancelling

Polar sells Pro for Razin as merchant of record. After checkout you get a license key to paste on Deputy's setup page.

  • Cancel any time. The key keeps working to the end of the period you paid for.
  • Renew at razin.ai/deputy. The key stays the same.
  • Your key is checked against Deputy's server a few times a day. If the server can't be reached, a key that was active keeps working for up to three days.
