Deputydocs

Update and uninstall

Keep Deputy up to date, stop or cancel Pro, and remove the extension and deputy-mcp.

Update

  • The extension comes from the Chrome Web Store, which updates it. After an update, reload tabs that were already open: until then the popup says Reload this tab.
  • deputy-mcp is the deputy-mcp package on npm, which your client runs with npx -y deputy-mcp. To run one particular version, name it: npx -y deputy-mcp@0.1.0.

Cancel or renew Pro

Cancel any time. Your key keeps working to the end of the period you paid for. To renew, go to razin.ai/deputy: the key stays the same.

Stop sending screenshots

Turn off Allow Deputy Pro to send a screenshot on the setup page. browser_look stops at once; the rest of Pro keeps working.

Uninstall

Remove Deputy from your MCP clients. Delete the deputy entry from each config file you added it to, or use your client's remove command, such as claude mcp remove deputy in Claude Code or codex mcp remove deputy in Codex.

Remove the extension. Right-click the Deputy icon in the toolbar and choose Remove from Chrome, or remove it on chrome://extensions. Uninstalling deletes its settings, including your license key, so keep a copy of the key if you may come back.

If you set OPENROUTER_API_KEY for Deputy, remove it too, so nothing calls OpenRouter on Deputy's behalf.

Your Pro subscription isn't cancelled by uninstalling. Cancel it separately, as above. To have your key's record deleted, write to hello@razin.ai; otherwise it's deleted 24 months after your plan last ended.
